Simone first began riding at 11 years of age. Since then, she has had the pleasure of competing six Grand Prix horses. With the Hannoverian gelding, Sold, Simone represented Canada at the 1989 North American Young Riders' Championship and made her Grand Prix debut in 1990.

Her second Grand Prix horse was the Hannoverian gelding Winiskamann. Simone and "Winnie" were long listed for the Canadian Dressage Team from 1991 to 1994. With Marco, another Hannoverian gelding, Simone represented Canada at the 1997 North American Dressage Championships in Maryland.

Riding Einstein, Simone experienced her greatest success to date. In 1994, they were the Canadian Advanced Champions and helped Canada win a Silver Medal at the 1994 Can Am Challenge in Devon, Pennsylvania. In 1995, the pair qualified for the Pan American Games in Argentina and, in 1996, were named the Grand Prix Champions in both Ontario and Quebec. At the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Simone and Einstein were the second highest placed Canadians, finishing tenth individually.

Simone is currently contesting the Grand Prix with the incredibly talented Wunder Ein, a horse she imported from Germany as a two-year-old. The pair has enjoyed great success on both sides of the border, successfully campaigning on the highly competitive Wellington, Florida, circuit during the winter before returning home to Canada to contest several CDI competitions. Simone is also working with several other talented prospects including Sapphire, Da Vinci, Willem and Zidane.

In addition to her success in the dressage arena, Simone has the unique distinction of also competing in the hunter and jumper divisions with Queenswood's quality sales prospects.

Simone and her parents own and operate Queenswood Stables, a large training facility just outside of Ottawa. A Certified Level 3 coach, she spends her days coaching students, training the talented Warmblood horses that Queenswood offers for sale, and competing at top hunter/jumper and dressage shows across North America. As a testament to her coaching ability, Simone, at the age of 21, was named the Canadian Equestrian Federation's Coach of the Year in 1989. In addition to riding, Simone enjoys running and has completed the 1998 New York City Marathon and the 2001 London Marathon.
