The nomination criteria are available on the Equestrian Canada website here.

“The nomination process provides our membership with an important opportunity to share stories about those who have made our sport special and to put forward suggestions for future inductees,” said Mark Samuel, Chair of the Jump Canada Hall of Fame.  “We welcome input from our community in recognizing champions of the sport in various categories.  As we know, it takes a village and every role and event holds its own significance in forming the history of hunter/jumper sport in Canada.”

Submissions for consideration for the 2026 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony are due to the Hall of Fame Committee by June 30, 2026.  The committee members will then deliberate and announce this year’s Inductees from all nominations received, both in 2026 and in previous years.  Should a nomination not be successful for the Class of 2026, it will be retained for consideration in future years.

The Jump Canada Hall of Fame committee includes Mark Samuel (Chair), Jennifer Anstey, Evie Frisque, Muffie Guthrie, Jennifer Ward, and Nancy Wetmore.

The Jump Canada Hall of Fame was created in 2006 to recognize outstanding contributions to Canadian hunter/jumper sport.  To date, 67 champions have been welcomed into the Hall of Fame, including 22 horses and ponies, 30 humans, nine organizations, and six teams.  Profiles and videos of previous inductees can be found here.
