Founded in 2003 by Newman, JustWorld International is a not-for-profit, humanitarian organization which funds life-changing nutrition, health and hygiene, education, and leadership and cultural development programs for impoverished children in Cambodia, Honduras, Guatemala, and Brazil. There are currently more than 500 Rider and Technical Official Ambassadors representing 40 different countries, whose efforts to support JustWorld’s projects have helped raise more than $4.5 million to date. “It is our most prestigious award,” said Randy Pfeiffer of the Rotary Club of Wellington. “It represents everything we stand for – serving above self, world peace and global understanding. Jessica’s work on behalf of impoverished youth is commendable. Her programs help people help themselves, and that is something we as a group truly believe in.” Newman now joins a growing list of recipients who include sheriffs, doctors, teachers and public servants. “I am beyond honored to have been chosen to receive this award,” said Newman. “It is a wonderful recognition of the positive difference we can make in the world when we join forces. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Wellington for honoring me with this noble award and congratulations to the entire JustWorld family.” The Rotary Club of Wellington is part of Rotary International, an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
