March 13, 2011 – Wellington, FL – The bonus money in the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion continues to grow with double and triple pay-outs on offer for Week 10 of the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
As inclement weather forced the cancellation of the $31,000 WEF Challenge Cup Series Round IX on Thursday, March 10, the $3,000 SSG Riding Gloves bonus will be carried over to next week’s competition. A $6,000 bonus will be awarded if the winning rider is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves in the $31,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round X on Thursday, March 17, at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
There was no SSG bonus money awarded in either of the sponsored Amateur-Owner Classics during Week Nine. The winner of Saturday’s High Amateur-Owner Classic, Charlie Jacobs, opted to ride with bare hands, leaving the bonus money untouched. A total of $2,000 will be offered for the High Amateur-Owner Classic on Saturday, March 19.
The winner of the Low Amateur-Owner Classic, Alexandra Vanderrest, opted not to wear SSG Riding Gloves, leaving the $2,000 bonus unclaimed. The accumulated bonus money of $3,000 will now be up for grabs if the winner of the Low Amateur-Owner Classic on Sunday, March 20, is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves.
SSG Riding Gloves is offering a total of $57,000 in cash bonuses for riders competing at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival running January 12 through April 3 in Wellington, FL. The SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion is offered in the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series, the Amateur-Owner Jumper Low Classic, and the Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic competitions.
Cash bonuses are given directly to the rider during the award presentations in front of the SSG Riding Gloves signature jump by either Ed James of SSG Riding Gloves or Jennifer Ward of Starting Gate Communications, who manages and handles publicity for the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.
