January 30, 2011 – Wellington, FL – Emilie Martinsen wore SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves to claim her share of the $57,000 bonus money on offer in the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion held during the 2011 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.
Martinsen, 26, of Denmark was the final challenger in the $15,000 Amateur-Owner High Jumper Classic on Saturday, January 29. As the last rider in a 12-horse jump-off, Martinsen guided Gucci to victory while wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves to claim a $1,000 bonus.
“I bought the gloves for the promotion, but I’ve been riding in them ever since I got them,” said Martinsen, who has traveled from her European base to show at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival for the third year. “They are really good, so it was a great way to try them.”
Unfortunately, the winner of Sunday’s Amateur-Owner Low Jumper Classic was not wearing SGG Gloves, and the $1,000 bonus was not awarded. The bonus money now accumulates, and a $2,000 bonus will go to the winner of the Amateur-Owner Low Jumper Classic on Sunday, February 6, if they are wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Gloves.
SSG Riding Gloves is offering a total of $57,000 in cash bonuses for riders competing at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival running January 12 through April 3 in Wellington, FL. The SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion is offered in the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series, the Amateur-Owner Jumper Low Classic, and the Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic competitions.
Cash bonuses will be given directly to the rider during the award presentations in front of the SSG Riding Gloves signature jump by either Ed James of SSG Riding Gloves or Jennifer Ward of Starting Gate Communications, who is managing the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.
SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at Beval Saddlery, Collierville, Hadfields, Kocher, and Running Fox.
