January 8, 2011 – Wellington, FL – SSG Riding Gloves will offer $57,000 in cash
bonuses for riders competing on the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival
running January 12 through April 3 in Wellington, FL.
The SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion will be offered in the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series, the Amateur-Owner Jumper Low Classic, and the Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic competitions. If the winning rider in any of these three competitions is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible on the wrist, they will be presented with a cash bonus during the awards presentation.
For the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series held each Thursday, a $3,000 cash bonus will be awarded to the winning rider if they compete wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves. If the winning rider is not wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves, the money will carry forward and be added to the following week’s bonus, bringing the total bonus to $6,000, $9,000, etc.
For the weekly Amateur-Owner Jumper Low Classic and the weekly Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic, a bonus of $1,000 will be awarded to the winning rider if they compete wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves. If not awarded, the bonus money carries forward, bringing the next week’s total to $2,000, $3,000, etc.
“The concept of rewarding the riders with a cash bonus was something that I felt would be interesting for the sport of show jumping, and the 12-week FTI Winter Equestrian Festival provided the perfect venue to execute it,” said Ed James, President of SSG Riding Gloves. “The ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotional bonus is contingent on the riders wearing our product, and we hope that those who participate will enjoy being rewarded for their loyalty.”
Cash bonuses will be given during the award presentations in front of the SSG Riding Gloves signature jump by either Ed James or Jennifer Ward of Starting Gate Communications, who will be managing and handling publicity for the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.
“While our business has been built on a foundation of public and media relations, this unique and innovative concept convinced us to extend into sponsor relations,” said Jennifer Ward, President of Starting Gate Communications. “I believe that the SSG bonus money will be warmly welcomed by the competitors, and the promotion will add a new and exciting dynamic to the sport. We also look forward to expanding on the concept in the future.”
SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at Running Fox and Beval Saddlery.
