December 7, 2010 – Ocala, Florida – The Ocala Jumping Classic will take place from
December 10 to 12 in Ocala, Florida.
The Ocala Jumping Classic features the $25,000 Ocala Horse Properties LLC Grand Prix on Sunday, December 12. There will also be a $10,000 1.40m Modified Grand Prix and a $7,500 1.40m class as well as various other jumping divisions, beginning at a height of 1m. 2008 Olympic course designer Steve Stephens will set the tracks in the state-of-the-art outdoor arena.
In addition to prize money and world-class course design, competitors can also look forward to jumping on all-weather Wordley Martin Equestrian footing. The venue, located at 8040 West Highway 326 in Ocala, is the training center of New Zealand Olympian, Sharn Wordley.
“We are committed to hosting a great weekend of show jumping and strive to put competitor comfort at the top of our list of priorities,” said two-time Canadian Olympian Jay Hayes of the Ocala Jumping Classic. “Each year, we use the feedback from our competitors to improve our event, and anticipate that this will be the best Ocala Jumping Classic yet.”
