Chef Rene Rodriguez of Navarra Restaurant. |
July 24, 2009 – Ottawa, Ontario –
Navarra Restaurant, located at 93 Murray Street in
the heart of Ottawa’s Byward Market, is now serving brunch.
Beginning Saturday, July 25, chef Rene Rodriguez introduces ‘Saturday brunch’ at his acclaimed Navarra restaurant. The celebrated creator of the city’s best beef tartare is turning his attention to bacon and eggs . . . although the Navarra take on scrambled eggs includes chorizo sofrito, arugula bread, pine nuts, piquillo peppers and grilled vine tomato.
Also starring on the brunch menu are creative versions of steak and eggs, hand-made artisan pastas, halibut on warm spinach salad, tapas plates, and vegetarian options. A stellar wine list, bread baked in-house, freshly ground coffee, impressive made-to-order desserts and an array of cheese selections are examples of the attention to detail that make meals at Navarra memorable.
Navarra prides itself on showcasing fresh local produce and the finest ingredients sourced from the Navarra region of Spain and France. Having just celebrated its one year anniversary, Navarra has rightfully earned its reputation as one of the city’s best restaurants, as well as a coveted place in the new edition of ‘Where to Eat in Canada.’
Come see what the buzz is about. Spend Saturdays watching Rodriguez work his magic in the open kitchen, either at brunch or at dinner. Reservations are a must at this hot-spot, frequented by the in-crowd and gastronomists alike, where guests are treated to a unique culinary experience and friendly service.
Brunch is served Saturdays from 11 to 2:30 p.m. Navarra is open for lunch from 11:30 to 2 p.m. Monday to Friday, and dinner is served Monday to Saturday from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Closed Sundays. Patio open, weather permitting.
