Canadian Eventing Team Athletes Featured on 'The Rick Mercer Report'


Rick Mercer tried his hand at riding for an upcoming episode of 'The Mercer Report' on CBC.

March 7, 2008 – Ocala, FL – Canadian comedian Rick Mercer made a visit to Florida to try his hand at riding for an upcoming episode of ‘The Mercer Report’.

Mercer received instruction from Olympic Gold Medalist and Canadian Eventing Team’s International Technical Advisor, David O’Connor, on the finer points of three day eventing. The Canadian Eventing Team members participating in the segment include Kyle Carter, Sandra Donnelly, Jessica Phoenix, and Samantha Taylor.

The equestrian-themed episode of ‘The Mercer Report’ will air on CBC on Tuesday, March 11, at 8 p.m. EST and will be repeated on Friday, March 14, at 7:30 p.m. EST. In addition, it can be viewed on the internet after airing at www.cbc.ca/mercerreport and www.equinecanada.ca.
