March 5, 2008 – Wellington, Florida – JustWorld International -- the official charity
partner of the CN Open CSIO Nations’ Cup week of the CN Winter Equestrian Festival managed by Equestrian Sport Productions -- will be hosting a wide variety of activities from March 5 to 9 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington, Florida.
>From Thursday through Sunday, the JustWorld International information booth will be set up outside the DeNemethy Ring tower, directly across from the International Club entrance. Caps, polos, and pins will be on sale and detailed information and DVDs about JustWorld and its project sites will be available. A silent auction will run throughout the week with exclusive items including a VIP table for six in the International Club for Sunday, March 9, donated by BluHammock Music; a Hampton Classic Sponsorship package; an American Invitational package including one field pass to work alongside Olympic co-course designer Steve Stephens and two Victory-Party tickets; a lifetime membership to PhelpsSports.com; and lessons on Belle Herbe Farm’s Grand Prix field with the bidder’s choice of superstars: Kent Farrington of the United States, Eric Lamaze of Canada or Ramiro Quintana of Argentina.
On Saturday, March 8, JustWorld’s signature Horseless Horse Show will be held to benefit the children of JustWorld’s projects in Cambodia, Honduras, Senegal, Brazil, and Kenya. At approximately 4 p.m., immediately following the last class of the day, the DeNemethy Ring will be converted to a show jumping ring for human competitors, with people-sized jumps generously provided and custom built by Steve Stephens, Hector Cano, and Beval Saddlery Ltd. Various classes will be offered, generously sponsored by supporters including BluHammock/BluHorse, SpyCoast Farm, and Dutta Corporation. CBS-12 News will be on-site to shoot footage for the upcoming JustWorld International ‘Youth Helping Youth’ feature story.
Winners will be treated to course walks with Olympic co-course designers Leopoldo Palacios and Steve Stephens. Each class winner from the Horseless Horse Show held February 23 will walk the Nations’ Cup course with Stephens while all class winners on March 8 will walk Sunday’s $150,000 CN WorldWide Grand Prix course with Palacios, a JustWorld Board member. In addition to a variety of prizes donated by BluHorse Clothing, SpyCoast Farm, Farmvet, Kocher Tack, SmartPack, Tackeria, Equine Tack and Nutrition, a custom whip by Angel, and Belle Herbe Farm, every Horseless Horse Show participant will receive a hoodie from BluHorse Clothing. PowerIce and Penta Water will be providing refreshments.
During the $75,000 FEI Nations’ Cup on Friday night, there will be a demonstration featuring some of the Horseless Horse Show’s top junior competitors who will show off their abilities in the International Arena between the first and second round.
