October 23, 2007 – Toronto, Ontario – The Jump Canada Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and
Gala, presented by BMO Financial Group, will be held on Sunday,
November 4, 2007, at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, ON.
Created in 2006 to recognize outstanding contributions to hunter/jumper sport, the second annual Jump Canada Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be part of a black-tie gala, featuring a reception and dinner, to be held in the Concert Hall of Toronto's Royal York Hotel. Close friends and associates will be on hand to present the Hall of Fame awards, making for a very special evening recalling the sport's greatest memories. "Building on the success of last year's inaugural Gala, we anticipate a record turn out and we are nearing a sell out. It is a fitting tribute to the Hall of Fame and to our honoured 2008 Inductees," noted Mark Samuel, Chair of the Jump Canada Hall of Fame committee comprised of Alan Chesler, David Esworthy, Butch Ferneyhough, Margaret 'Muffie' Guthrie, Carolyn Vaillancourt, Jennifer Ward and Lindy Welsby. This year's inductees into the Jump Canada Hall of Fame will be: Jumper Horse - Aramis Hunter Horse - Dr. Schpiegle Pony - Wotten Nell Builder (Individual) - Major General and Mrs. C. Churchill Mann (posthumous) Media - Susan Jane Anstey (posthumous) Official - Francois Ferland Rider - Lorne Siegle Team - The 1980 Alternate Olympic Gold Medal Team, Rotterdam, NED - Jim Elder riding Volunteer, Mark Laskin riding Damuraz, Ian Millar riding Brother Sam, and Michel Vaillancourt riding Chivas Trainer - Gladys Adam (posthumous) Tickets for the Jump Canada Hall of Fame Gala and Induction Ceremony are $200 per person and can be purchased individually or in tables of eight.
