June 19, 2006 – Palgrave, Ontario – Simone Williams claimed the Fourth Level Championship at the 'Spring Into Dressage - Cornerstone at Palgrave' equestrian competition held June 1-4 at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave, ON.

Williams of Navan, ON, and her eight-year-old Hannoverian gelding, Wunder Ein, claimed two wins to take the overall Fourth Level Championship title. The pair topped the 15-horse starting field in the Fourth Level Test 1 with a score of 66.047% followed by another victory in the Fourth Level Test 2 with a score of 65.349%.

"I am so proud of Wunder Ein," said Williams who imported the handsome bay gelding by Wolkenstein II as a two-year-old from Germany. "The weather conditions were less than ideal with the rain and the mud, but he held his focus and put his heart into producing the best tests possible. He is a strong, powerful horse with amazing movement and expressive gaits."

Earning the Championship was a great way to cap off Wunder Ein's career at the Fourth Level. At her next competition, Williams will be moving him up to the Prix St. Georges level in order to concentrate on qualifying for the 2007 Pan American Games. Williams was a member of the Canadian Dressage Team at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg where she enjoyed a top ten finish individually riding her long-time partner, Einstein.

A certified Level 3 Dressage Coach, Williams owns and operates Queenswood Stables, a 46-stall boarding and training operation located on the outskirts of Ottawa. Wunder Ein is a great example of the quality horses imported and trained by Queenswood Stables as part of its active sales business. Williams and her parents, Marg and Bob, make frequent trips to Europe, particularly Holland and Germany, to buy horses suitable for their own clientele as well as those looking to purchase superior sport horses for the dressage and hunter/jumper markets. Importing an average of six to eight horses on each buying trip, many of the horses that Queenswood Stables has sold have gone on to enjoy successful careers, including Sander, a horse that scored hunter championship titles on the highly competitive 2006 Winter Equestrian Festival circuit in Wellington, FL.
