January 17, 2016 – Wellington, FL – Madison Goetzmann, 15, of Skaneateles, NY, cashed in on a $1,000 bonus in the SSG Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion by winning the $10,000 Sleepy P Ranch High Junior Jumper Classic at the 2016 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) in Wellington, FL, on Sunday, January 17.

Goetzmann topped a 15-horse starting field riding Wrigley, owned by her trainer John Madden. She was one of five riders to return for the jump-off and produced the fastest double-clear effort to win the opening week’s competition at WEF. As she was wearing her SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves on her way to victory, Goetzmann took home the first SSG Gloves bonus offered in the Junior Jumper division this season.

While innovative SSG Gloves promotion is now in its sixth season, this was Goetzmann’s first “Go Clean for the Green” win.

“I can’t decide if I want to go shopping or give it to my parents!” laughed Goetzmann when asked how she planned to spend her $1,000 bonus.

As for what she likes about her SSG ‘Digital’ gloves, Goetzmann said, “The gloves are so comfortable. What’s great about them is that I can wear them in the jumper ring, the equitation ring, and the hunter ring and they always last for so long.”

Goetzmann plans to compete in the High Junior Jumper division throughout the duration of WEF, and also hopes to gain experience riding Wrigley in the Artisan Farms Under 25 Grand Prix Series.

The SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” promotion offers $60,000 in bonus money to riders throughout the 12-week WEF competition running January 13 through April 3, 2016, in Wellington, FL. A $3,000 bonus is offered each week to the winner of the WEF Challenge Cup if they are wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves with the horsehead logo clearly visible in all rounds of competition. In the weekly Maybach – Icons of Luxury High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic and the Sleepy P High Junior Jumper Classic competitions, a $1,000 bonus is on offer if the winning rider is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves with the SSG Gloves horse head logo clearly visible in all rounds of competition.

SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at various retailers.
