The 2015 Royal Horse Show WHAT: The Royal Horse Show is internationally recognized and provides some of the most exciting competitions in equestrian sport. Approximately 900 entries compete in their respective divisions to be crowned a “Royal Champion”. In 2015, the Royal Horse Show is proud to be part of the Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping North American League. The international division will feature Olympic-caliber riders and horses from around the globe, as well as the U.S. and Canada. The fierce competition for over $800,000 in prize money will keep audiences glued to their seats each evening, and visitors will enjoy the unique atmosphere and entertainment that only The Royal can offer. Each painstakingly restored coach is beautifully presented and pulled by four matching horses of various breeds such as Dutch Warmbloods, Friesians, and Hackneys. Competitors travel from across Canada and the United States to present this outstanding feature for visitors to the 2015 Royal Horse Show. In addition to the performance classes held in the coliseum, each coach will also be judged on its appointments. The appointments for each carriage may consist of spare pieces of harness, tool kits for making repairs en route and may also include elaborate place settings that may have been used for those traveling longer distances. Make time for lunch in the Hitching Ring on Friday, November 13 to see the beautiful coaches during the judging of their appointments class.
