Local media personality Sandy Sharkey will act as Master of Ceremonies, welcoming children of all ages to the Wesley Clover Parks (formerly the Nepean National Equestrian Center) at 401 Corkstown Road, conveniently located at the Moodie Drive exit off the 417 highway. Events will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Numerous demonstrations will be held throughout ‘Horse Day’, including a breed parade, polo and show jumping demonstrations, and even yoga with horses. The Eastern Ontario Pleasure Driving Group will also be participating, as will the Miniature Horse Club of Ontario and the Canadian Pony Club’s Prince Phillip Games. ‘Horse Day’ will feature lots of children’s activities, including pony rides, face painting, a balloon artist and bouncy slides.
