March 21, 2015 – Wellington, FL – Daisy Farish and Kelsey Thatcher joined Eric Lamaze in claiming all the bonus money on offer in the SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” promotion during week 11 of the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

Each week, bonus money is offered to the winner of the Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup, the High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, and the Sleepy P Ranch High Junior Jumper Classic if they are wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves on their way to victory.

Eric Lamaze won a $3,000 bonus – bringing his total bonus money won to date this season to $15,000 – following his win in the $34,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round XI riding Fine Lady 5. On Saturday, March 21, Daisy Farish and Kelsey Thatcher picked up $1,000 each following their wins in the $10,000 Sleepy P Ranch High Junior Jumper Classic and $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic, respectively.

In the $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic, Farish topped an eight-horse jump-off to win her first ever High Junior Jumper Classic riding Triviant, a horse she leased last summer from Spy Coast Farm and recently purchased. With a double clear performance, Farish posted the winning time of 36.50 to take victory over Spencer Brittan, who stopped the clock in 37.28 seconds riding Unico. As Farish was wearing SSG ‘Digitals’ on her way to victory, she was awarded her first $1,000 bonus in the SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” promotion.

“I think they are very breathable, and I also like that they are stretchy,” said Farish, 14, of Lexington, KY, who wears her SSG ‘Digitals’ whenever she competes. “It feels like I don’t have gloves on, yet my hands don’t slip off the reins.”

While Farish was a first-time winner, Thatcher claimed her third SSG bonus so far this season. Having won with Everything in weeks one and six, it was Athena’s turn to steal the spotlight. First back for the jump-off, Thatcher crossed the finish line in 35.35 seconds riding Athena, and later jumped double-clear in a time of 36.47 seconds to finish as the runner-up with Everything.

Thatcher’s win marked her third victory so far this season wearing SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves, bringing her total bonus money won to date to $3,000.

“I am sweating so hard, but I am not losing grip!” said Thatcher, 22, following her win on a hot afternoon in the Florida sunshine. “I love that even though it’s 89 degrees out and I’m in a full body sweat, I can still grip my reins and feel ready to go with the gloves on.”

SSG Gloves will continue to offer a $3,000 bonus in each of the weekly Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Series events, as well as a $1,000 bonus in the High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic and the Sleepy P Ranch High Junior Jumper Classic competitions. If the winning rider in any of these three competitions is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible, they will be presented with the SSG Gloves bonus during the awards presentation. A total of $60,000 in bonus money is on offer from SSG Gloves at the 2015 Winter Equestrian Festival.

SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations including Tackeria and Dover Saddlery, as well as on-site at the Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at various retailers including Running Fox and Hadfield’s Saddlery.
