June 30, 2014 – Langley, BC – Georgia Hunt of Duncan, BC, was the latest winner in the SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion, now in its fourth year at the Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC.

Hunt won the $5,000 Cobblestone Hunter Derby on Saturday, June 28, during the West Coast Classic tournament. As she was wearing SSG 'Digital' riding gloves on her way to victory, she was also awarded a $1,000 bonus from SSG Gloves in recognition of her loyalty to the Canadian brand.

A total of 38 riders contested the $5,000 Cobblestone Hunter Derby with 12 returning for the second round. Sitting second following the opening round of competition with a score of 98.5, Hunt and Sanmorino turned it on to score 98 the second time out, giving them a two-round total of 196.5 points for the win.

Hunt has been riding Sanmorino, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, since he was a five-year-old, but 2014 marked the first season Hunt has shown him. It also marked her first win of a $1,000 bonus in the SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion.

"I think it's an awesome opportunity for the riders, and a great way to promote a quality product," said Hunt following her victory. "I love the SSG Gloves. I find that they have a fantastic fit and are so comfortable to wear. They last forever, and the grip couldn't be better for our wet climate!"

For the fourth consecutive year, the SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion is offering a total of $12,000 in bonus money to competitors throughout the 2014 show season at Thunderbird Show Park. A $1,000 bonus is on offer to the winner of designated grand prix and hunter events if they are wearing SSG 'Digital' Riding Gloves with the horse head logo clearly visible in all rounds of competition.
