May 30, 2014 – Petaluma, CA – The SSG Gloves "Roar for More" promotion returned for its third year at Sonoma Horse Park, welcoming three new bonus money winners during the season's opening event, the Spring Classic, held May 7 to 11 in Petaluma, California.

Running exclusively at Sonoma Horse Park, the SSG Gloves 'Roar for More' promotion sees four different classes selected as eligible events at each horse show, with a $500 bonus on offer to each of the winning riders if they are wearing SSG 'Digital' style riding gloves.

On Saturday evening, May 10, Kristin Hardin and Bert topped a starting field of 29 entries to win the $25,000 Equine Insurance Grand Prix. Following a 10-horse jump-off, Hardin posted the winning time of 40.91 seconds to edge out Bjorn Ikast and Colorado, who tripped the timers in 41.84.

As Hardin was wearing SSG 'Digitals' on her way to victory, she claimed a $500 bonus from the Canadian riding gloves manufacturer. Ironically, Hardin had never worn gloves in competition before, but has now been converted after trying the SSG brand.

"They were actually really comfortable and, as a bonus, they helped me to hold my reins over the big jumps," said Hardin, who was encouraged to give the gloves a try by show management. "I've never had a glove work this well for me. They were almost like having bare hands. I'll be wearing these gloves from now on. Thank you to SSG for a really super program and a great glove!"

Peggy Munkdale also claimed a $500 bonus for wearing SSG 'Digitals' on her way to victory in the $1,500 Wright Horse Sales Junior/Amateur Modified Jumper Classic on Sunday, May 11. Munkdale and her partner of six years, Enfuego, topped a six-horse jump-off for the win.

"The 'Digitals' are super comfortable and the grip is perfect for the jumper classes," said Munkdale, who trains with Mandy Porter and Nicole Bloom. "Thank you to SSG Gloves and Wright Horse Sales for sponsoring the Classic and for the $500 SSG bonus! This is a great promotion, and SSG is the best for doing this for us!"

Hunter competitors had an opportunity to pick up bonus money as well, with a $500 bonus on offer to the winner of the $1,000 Charleigh's Cookies Junior/Amateur-Owner Classic on Sunday, May 11. Sarah Ryan of Napa, California, was wearing SSG 'Digitals' as she topped the class with her Dutch Warmblood, Gabriel.

"They are very slim and grippy, and super comfortable," raved Ryan, who trains with Hope and Ned Glynn of Sonoma Valley Stables. "They are the best gloves I've ever owned, very stretchy and just the right amount of sticky."

Now in its third year of partnership with the Sonoma Horse Park, SSG Gloves is offering a total of $12,000 in bonus money to competitors through its "Roar for More" promotion during the 2014 show season. Designed to reward competitors for their loyalty to the SSG Gloves brand, a $500 bonus is on offer to the winning rider in designated events at Sonoma Horse Park if they are wearing SSG 'Digital' style riding gloves with the horse head logo clearly visible in all rounds of competition.

The following events comprise the 2014 SSG Gloves 'Roar for More' promotion at Sonoma Horse Park:
