Emanuel Andrade and Ali Wolff Claim Bonus Money from SSG Gloves

Venezuela's Emanuel Andrade, mounted on Wilkina Lithya, is presented with a $1,000 bonus from SSG Gloves President Ed James, SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion manager Jennifer Ward, and ringmaster Gustavo Murcia following his victory in the $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

February 2, 2014 – Wellington, FL – Emanuel Andrade and Ali Wolff both claimed $1,000 bonuses for wearing SSG 'Digital' riding gloves on their way to victory in the SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion running at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. A total of $60,000 in bonus money is on offer from SSG Gloves at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival running January 8 through March 30 in Wellington, Florida.

Andrade of Caracas, Venezuela, had his work cut out for him Sunday morning on the grass derby field, qualifying a total of three horses for the jump-off in the $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic. His winning mount would prove to be Wilkina Lithya, an 11-year-old grey Dutch Warmblood mare owned by Hollow Creek Farm that crossed the timers in 38.72 seconds to claim victory as well as the overall High Junior Jumper Championship title. Andrade also placed third after jumping double clear with AD Vangleys, and fifth with Wilco.

Andrade was wearing SSG 'Digital' riding gloves to also claim a $1,000 bonus from SSG Gloves in recognition of his loyalty to the brand. As he has done on previous occasions, the 17-year-old decided to split the bonus money he earned in the SSG promotion among his grooms in appreciation of their hard work.

"I love the gloves!" said Andrade, who trains with Hollow Creek Farm of Aiken, South Carolina. "I think the promotion is really great, and I want to say thank you to SSG Gloves for their support."

Andrade's win in the $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic put him on a roll that carried through the rest of the day. He topped a 48-horse starting field to win the $10,000 Medium Junior Jumper Classic as well as the Medium Junior Jumper Championship riding Costa, and placed second among 56 starters in the $10,000 Low Junior Jumper Classic with Casanova Junior. He was also named the Low Junior Jumper Reserve Champion with Oxford.

Another previous winner also emerged victorious in Saturday's $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic as Ali Wolff won the class for the second time in four weeks. While her winning mount during week one was Caya, it was Artemis who carried her to victory in week four's competition. Of the six riders who qualified for the jump-off, Wolff went first, guiding Artemis to a clean round in a time of 36.06 seconds. None who followed were able to leave the rails in place, giving Wolff her second victory of the 12-week show jumping circuit.

Ali Wolff, mounted on Artemis, is presented with a $1,000 bonus from Jennifer Ward on behalf of SSG Gloves for wearing SSG 'Digitals' on her way to victory in the $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic during week four of the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.

"We got a little unlucky at 'b' where he just rubbed it, but luckily it did put the pressure on the other riders and horses and it turned out to be my day," explained Wolff of coming out on top following the jump-off with her nine-year-old mare. The win was extra-special for Wolff as her parents were in town from New Albany, Ohio, to cheer her on.

By wearing SSG 'Digital' gloves on her way to victory, Wolff earned a $1,000 bonus from SSG Gloves in recognition of her loyalty to the brand. In fact, Wolff was wearing a pair of gloves she had only purchased hours earlier.

"I love this promotion! I think it's fantastic, not only for the riders, but it's also great advertising," said Wolff, 24, of the SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion. "I actually just lost my gloves yesterday, and I ran out at 7:50 this morning to go buy these ones at Hadfield's, the only store that was open at 7:50. Hadfield's have them, Beval's have them; you see them everywhere. It is such great promotion, not to mention that they are just such great gloves. They have such a great grip whereas a lot of other brands wear out. I had had my other pair for two years."

Andrade and Wolff were happy winners during week four as was U.S. Olympian Lauren Hough, who was awarded a $3,000 bonus for wearing SSG 'Digital' Riding Gloves on her way to victory with Ohlala in the $34,000 Ruby et Violette WEF Challenge Cup Round IV earlier in the week.

SSG Gloves will continue to offer a $3,000 bonus in each of the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series events, as well as a $1,000 bonus in the High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic and the High Junior Jumper Classic competitions. If the winning rider in any of these three competitions is wearing SSG 'Digital' style gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible, they will be presented with bonus money during the awards presentation. A total of $60,000 in bonus money is on offer from SSG Gloves at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival.

SSG 'Digital' riding gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at various retailers including Beval Saddlery, Hadfield's, Jods and Running Fox.
