January 12, 2014 – Wellington, FL – Ali Wolff and Victoria Colvin were winners in the opening week of the SSG Gloves "Go Clean for the Green" promotion running at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. Wolff won a $1,000 bonus for wearing SSG 'Digital' riding gloves on her way to victory in the $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic while Colvin accomplished the same feat in the $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic.

A total of five horses qualified for the jump-off from the original starting field of 26 in Saturday's $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic. Wolff doubled her chances for victory by qualifying two horses, Lanoo and Caya, for the tie-breaker. As the last to go, it was Wolff and Caya who posted another clear round in a time of 39.85 seconds to take the win over Paris Sellon and Umbra 34, who had stopped the clock in 43.09 seconds.

"I saw that Paris was the only one clean and I know my horse is already naturally fast as it is," explained Wolff of her jump-off strategy with her eight-year-old mare. "As long as I could keep it conservative and keep up the pace, I knew I had a shot."

There was no doubt that the SSG Gloves bonus money would be awarded, as all five jump-off entries were sporting SSG 'Digitals', and Wolff became the lucky recipient.

"I think the promotion is fantastic!" said Wolff, 24, upon being presented with a $1,000 bonus in appreciation of her loyalty to the SSG brand. "The promotion is a great incentive and great advertising. You look around now and everyone is wearing them. They are great gloves!"

The SSG 'Digitals' have also played a role in improving Wolff's performances.

"You can ask my trainer; her biggest pet peeve is that my reins get too long," said Wolff of Columbus, Ohio. "These gloves help me grip a lot better."

Victoria Colvin is also a huge fan of SSG 'Digital' riding gloves and has been a previous winner in the "Go Clean for the Green" promotion on multiple occasions.

"I wear them all the time - hunters, equitation, and jumpers!" said Colvin, one of the busiest junior riders on the show circuit. "They are very comfortable, they have a good grip on the reins, and they're just really nice to ride in."

By posting the only clear round, Colvin won Sunday morning's $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic without the need for a jump-off. Her winning partner was Don Juan, who she has been riding for one year.

"He is a very sweet horse, and is never mean," said Colvin. "He's just a happy horse!"

And Wolff and Colvin were happy winners during week one, as was Wilton Porter, 19, who was awarded a $3,000 bonus for wearing SSG 'Digital' Riding Gloves on his way to victory with Paloubet in the $25,000 Ruby et Violet WEF Challenge Cup earlier in the week.

SSG Gloves will continue to offer a $3,000 bonus in each of the weekly WEF Challenge Cup Series events, as well as a $1,000 bonus in the High Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic and the High Junior Jumper Classic competitions. If the winning rider in any of these three competitions is wearing SSG 'Digital' style gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible, they will be presented with bonus money during the awards presentation. A total of $60,000 in bonus money is on offer from SSG Gloves at the 2014 FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival.

SSG 'Digital' riding gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at various retailers including Running Fox and Beval Saddlery.
