November 4, 2013 – Lexington, KY – Frances Land, 19, and Tori Colvin, 16, both won twice in the popular SSG Gloves “Go Clean for the Green” incentive promotion held at the Alltech National Horse Show from October 30 through November 3 in Lexington, KY.

Both Land and Colvin are previous winners in the “Go Clean for the Green” promotion, having claimed bonus money earlier this year at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.  As both young women discovered at the Alltech National Horse Show, it pays to wear SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves.

Land of Alpharetta, GA, earned a $1,000 bonus from SSG Gloves following her victory in Friday’s $15,000 Amateur-Owner Jumper competition.  She was back in the winner’s circle on Saturday to pick up another $1,000 bonus after claiming the $50,000 SJHOF Championship Grand Prix on Saturday.  Her mount for both victories was the feisty mare, Vieanne.

“I won one of the SSG bonuses earlier this year in Wellington riding the same horse and I’ve been wearing the gloves ever since,” noted Land.  “They are phenomenal gloves.  Once people try them, they love them.”

As for the promotion itself, Land commented, “It’s a great marketing tool.  It really gets the name out there, and now everybody knows SSG.”

Land’s father, Jay, who is also a previous winner in the SSG “Go Clean for the Green” promotion in Wellington, added, “When a company like SSG makes a great product and wants to support our sport, we, as riders, need to show our support.”

Tori Colvin shows her support for SSG by wearing the ‘Digital’ gloves at all times, regardless of whether or not there is bonus money on the line.  Her loyalty paid off at the Alltech National Horse Show, where she won a total of $2,000 in bonus money after winning Thursday’s $10,000 Junior Jumper Speed riding Monsieur du Reverdy, better known as ‘Frenchie’ around the barn, and Friday’s $15,000 Deeridge Farm Junior Jumper competition with Don Juan.

“I love the gloves and think they are very comfortable,” said Colvin of Loxahatchee, FL.  “The promotion is great, and makes everyone want to wear the gloves.  I think it’s amazing that SSG does this!”

On opening day of the Alltech National Horse Show, Todd Minikus was awarded a $3,000 bonus after guiding Quality Girl to victory in the $50,000 Open Jumper Welcome Speed competition.

“I’ve never been a big fan of wearing gloves, to be honest with you, but when SSG started the promotion in Wellington, I started wearing their gloves,” said Minikus of Loxahatchee, FL.  “Now they’ve become my security blanket, and I’m nervous if I don’t put them on.  They’re nice gloves, and I’ve won some of the bonus money along the way.  It’s quite fun!”

SSG Gloves offered a total of $14,000 in bonus money through its “Go Clean for the Green” promotion at the 2013 Alltech National Horse Show.  All bonus money won was presented directly to the winning rider during the award presentations in the Alltech Arena.

In addition to offering its wildly popular “Go Clean for the Green” incentive program, SSG Gloves also gave one pair of its ‘Digital’ style gloves to all competitors in the ASPCA Maclay National Championship, held Sunday at the Alltech National Horse Show.  SSG Gloves congratulates loyal ‘Digital’ supporter, Lillie Keenan, on her victory.
