November 1, 2013 – Lexington, KY – Todd Minikus was rewarded for his loyalty to SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves by claiming a $3,000 bonus after winning Wednesday’s $50,000 Open Jumper Welcome Speed competition.  SSG Gloves has brought its popular “Go Clean for the Green” incentive promotion to the Alltech National Horse Show, running October 30 through November 3 in Lexington, KY, for the second year in a row.

No stranger to the promotion, having been a past winner at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, Minikus donned his SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves as he guided Quality Girl to a blazing fast round on opening night.  In addition to his share of the prize money for the victory, Minikus was presented with a $3,000 bonus in appreciation of his loyalty to SSG Gloves.

“I’ve never been a big fan of wearing gloves, to be honest with you, but when SSG started the promotion in Wellington, I started wearing their gloves,” said Minikus of Loxahatchee, FL.  “Now they’ve become my security blanket, and I’m nervous if I don’t put them on.  They’re nice gloves, and I’ve won some of the bonus money along the way.  It’s quite fun!”

In Thursday’s $10,000 Junior Jumper Speed, Victoria Colvin, also of Loxahatchee, FL, emerged the winner, as well as $1,000 richer, thanks to her SSG ‘Digital’ gloves.  A loyal fan of the ‘Digitals’, Colvin is also a past winner in the SSG “Go Clean for the Green” promotion.

“I love the gloves, and I think it’s amazing that SSG does this!” said Colvin, 16, who was thrilled to win a $1,000 bonus simply for wearing the gloves she competes in regularly.  “The promotion makes everyone want to wear them.”

SSG Gloves is offering a total of $14,000 in bonus money at the 2013 Alltech National Horse Show.  All bonus money won in the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion is presented directly to the winning rider during the award presentations.

In addition to offering its wildly popular ‘Go Clean for the Green’ incentive program, SSG Riding Gloves also gave one pair of its ‘Digital’ style gloves to the more than 150 competitors contesting the ASPCA Maclay National Championship.

One of the world’s leading riding glove manufacturers, SSG Riding Gloves offers over 50 styles to meet every equestrian sport need from hunters and jumpers to dressage, eventing and polo.  With both warm and cold weather styles and sizing from child to adult, SSG offers the most complete line of gloves on the market today.  For more information on the SSG Riding Gloves, please visit www.ssgridinggloves.com.
