October 10, 2013 – Lexington, KY – The highly popular SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion will return to this year’s Alltech National Horse Show, which takes center stage on October 30 through November 4, 2012, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.

In the International Open Jumper division, a $3,000 bonus will be on offer in Wednesday’s $50,000 International Open Jumper Welcome Speed, Thursday’s $80,000 Double H Farm International Open Jumper Time First Jump-Off, and Friday’s $50,000 International Open Jumper Speed, sponsored by The Triumph Project.  If the winning rider is wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style riding gloves in the first round of competition and any subsequent jump-off, they will be awarded a bonus of $3,000.  In the event that the winning rider is not wearing SSG ‘Digital’ gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible, the bonus money is forfeited.

In the Junior division, a $1,000 bonus will be on offer in the $10,000 Deeridge Farm Junior Speed and the $15,000 Deeridge Farm Junior Jump-Off.  In the Amateur-Owner division, SSG Riding Gloves will also offer a $1,000 bonus in the $10,000 Chasonette Farm Amateur-Owner Speed and the $15,000 Chasonette Farm Amateur-Owner Jump-Off.  In addition, SSG Riding Gloves will offer a $1,000 bonus in Saturday’s $50,000 SJHOF Junior/Amateur-Owner Championship.  Again, the bonus will be awarded to the winning rider if they are wearing SSG ‘Digital’ style gloves with the SSG horse head logo clearly visible in the first round and any subsequent jump-off.  In the event it is not awarded, the bonus money is forfeited.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ incentive program back to the Alltech National Horse Show for a second year,” said Ed James, President of SSG Riding Gloves.  “The promotion developed as a means to thank our customers for their loyalty to the brand, and the unique concept has been embraced beyond our expectations.”

“SSG has found the right formula and has created a popular and well received promotion.  We’re glad they’ll be with us in Lexington,” said Mason Phelps, Jr., the President of the National Horse Show Association.  “SSG gloves are obviously a wonderful product.  The cash incentive for wearing the gloves is a brilliant idea.”

In addition to offering its wildly popular ‘Go Clean for the Green’ incentive program, SSG Riding Gloves will also be giving one pair of its ‘Digital’ style gloves to all competitors in the ASPCA Maclay National Championship.

SSG Riding Gloves are available for purchase on-site at Hadfield’s Saddlery.

With over $850,000 in prize money offered, this year’s Alltech National Horse Show has been designated as a CSI-W 5* competition by the FEI.  The International Open Jumpers will compete for $530,000 in prize money, while the top rated hunter sections have a total purse of $205,000.  Meanwhile, $100,000 is offered to the Amateur/Owner and Junior Jumpers and the American Saddlebreds will compete for over $20,000.  For tickets and more information, visit the website at: http://www.alltechnationalhorseshow.com/.
