May 24, 2013 – Petaluma, California – Lindsay Ramar Costigan was the first winner in the newly unveiled SSG Gloves ‘Roar for Four’ promotion held at Sonoma Horse Park in Petaluma, CA.

Running exclusively at Sonoma Horse Park, the SSG Gloves ‘Roar for Four’ promotion sees four different classes selected as eligible events at each horse show, with a $500 bonus on offer to each of the winning riders if they are wearing one of four styles of SSG Riding Gloves.

At the first event of the season, the Horse & Hound Spring horse show held May 8 to 12, the $500 bonus kept accumulating until Ramar Costigan finally won the fourth SSG Gloves-designated event of the show, the $2,000 Ice Horse 1.30m Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic on Sunday, May 12.  She scored the victory following an impressive jump-off performance with Watson, a 10-year-old Holsteiner gelding.

The bonus money that had gone unclaimed in the $5,000 O’Shaughnessey Open Hunter Derby, the $1,000 Charleigh's Cookies Junior/Amateur-Owner Hunter Classic, and the $25,000 Equine Insurance Grand Prix accumulated for the fourth and final competition of the week.  When Ramar Costigan won Sunday’s $2,000 Ice Horse 1.30m Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic, she was both thrilled and surprised to also win a $2,000 bonus for wearing her SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves.

“Since the first SSG event at the Sonoma Horse Park last year, they are all I wear at shows and for schooling at home,” said Ramar Costigan of the SSG ‘Digital’ style, which feature a close fit and extra grip.  “I love them, I really do!  They are like an extension of you; you don’t even know that they are there!”

Ramar Costigan rides at Estancia Farm where she trains with Mariano Alario.

Now in its second year of partnership with the Sonoma Horse Park, SSG Gloves is offering a total of $12,000 in bonus money to competitors during the 2013 show season.  In the new ‘Roar for Four’ promotion, riders must be wearing one of four eligible styles of SSG Gloves: Digital, Hybrid, Technical, or All-Weather.

Designed to reward competitors for their loyalty to the SSG Riding Gloves brand, a $500 bonus is on offer to the winning rider in designated events at Sonoma Horse Park if they are wearing eligible styles of SSG Riding Gloves with the horse head logo clearly visible in all rounds of competition.  If the winning rider is not wearing SSG Riding Gloves, the bonus money is carried forward to the next event, increasing from $500 to $1,000, etc.

The following events comprise the 2013 SSG Riding Gloves ‘Roar for Four’ bonus promotion at Sonoma Horse Park:
