Vermont Summer Festival to Accept Electronic Entries

April 26, 2013 – East Dorset, Vermont – The Vermont Summer Festival will once again be accepting electronic entries thanks to a continuing partnership with Equestrian Connect, the one-minute horse show entry service.  Held at Harold Beebe Farm in East Dorset, VT, from July 2 through August 11, competitors will be able to complete their entry forms for all six weeks of the Vermont Summer Festival completely online – no mailing required!

“This service is a win/win for both horse shows and exhibitors alike,” stated Ruth Lacey, Marketing Director of the Vermont Summer Festival.  “Our show secretaries appreciate receiving clear and complete entry forms, and our exhibitors are saving time and money by not having to complete entry forms by hand and then mailing them to us.”

Since its launch in 2010, Equestrian Connect has attracted thousands of members and now offers entry services for hundreds of hunter/jumper shows throughout North America.  Their popular electronic entry system allows competitors to complete their entries online without ever having to pick up a pen or turn on a printer.  Members complete their entry forms online and submit them electronically.

“We are rapidly expanding the number of shows using our electronic entry system across the country,” said Barbara Phillips, Equestrian Connect co-founder.  “We are offering online entries at more than 300 shows nationwide this year, which has more than doubled since last year.”

Equestrian Connect is available for a 45-day free trial.  Once the free trial period ends, exhibitors have two pricing options: $49.99 for an annual subscription per horse, or $8 per entry form.  For more information about Equestrian Connect, or to submit your entries online for the Vermont Summer Festival, please visit EquestrianConnect.com.

Entries for the first three weeks of the Vermont Summer Festival are due by June 4, while entries for weeks four through six are due by June 18.  The Vermont Summer Festival is New England’s largest hunter/jumper competition and offers more than $750,000 in prize money, making it the richest sporting event based on purse in the state of Vermont.

The first five Saturdays of the Vermont Summer Festival will feature a $30,000 Grand Prix.  The $50,000 Vermont Summer Celebration Grand Prix will be held during the sixth and final week on Saturday, August 10.  The weekly $10,000 Open Welcome Stake, Presented by Manchester Designer Outlets, will be held each Thursday.  The hugely popular $5,000 3’3” Hunter Derby will also be held each Thursday for the first five weeks, with week six featuring the $15,000 Hunter Derby.

For over 20 years, the Vermont Summer Festival has attracted exhibitors and their families to the Manchester region in southern Vermont.  The Vermont Summer Festival is a proud member event of the Show Jumping Hall Of Fame, the Marshall & Sterling League, and the North American League (NAL).  For more information about the Vermont Summer Festival, please e-mail:
