September 22, 2012 – Petaluma, CA – Hometown favorite Simonne Berg made it two in a row with her second consecutive win in the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion at the Sonoma Horse Park in Petaluma, CA.

Berg was awarded her second consecutive bonus of $1,000 from SSG Riding Gloves for wearing ‘Digitals’ on her way to victory. Having previously won the $1,500 Draper Therapies Children’s/Adult Amateur Classic at the HMI August Classic held August 23-26, Berg again returned to the winner’s circle following her victory in the $1,500 Majyk Equipe Children’s/Adult Amateur Classic on September 16 during the Strides and Tides competition.

The 16-year-old, who trains with Meredith Herman of Burgundy Farms, won both Classics riding Limerick, her Connemara pony. Berg plans to spend the first $1,000 bonus she earned on a trip to Greece, while the second will go towards a shopping spree.

“A new pair of SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves is definitely on my list,” said Berg. “I am in love with these gloves and hope they never stop making them! I think they have really helped me this season. Every championship or classic I’ve won this year at the Sonoma Horse Park has been while I was wearing these gloves.”

A $1,000 bonus was also offered in the $ 20,000 Stable Mix Grand Prix, but went unclaimed as winner Bjorn Ikast was not wearing SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves. As the competition was the last event in this year’s ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion, the bonus money is forfeited.

In its California debut, SSG Riding Gloves offered a total of $12,000 in bonus money through its innovative ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion at the Sonoma Horse Park. In an incentive program designed to reward competitors for their loyalty to the SSG Riding Gloves brand, SSG offered a bonus of $1,000 in designated grand prix events and $1,000 in designated Junior/Amateur-Owner, Children’s Jumper and Children/Adult Amateur Classics if the winning riders were wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves.
