September 1, 2012 – Fort Langley , British Columbia – Megan Garcia claimed a cash bonus from SSG Riding Gloves in the final event of the ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion held throughout the 2012 season at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, BC.

During the CSI2*-W Fort Summer Festival held August 22 to 26, Garcia topped a starting field of 17 entries to win the $5,000 Jump Canada Classic Hunter Derby. Wearing SSG ‘Digital’ gloves, Garcia piloted Zidane, an eight-year-old Oldenburg gelding, to the win and picked up a $500 cash bonus from Canada’s own SSG Riding Gloves.

“It’s a great program, I love it!” raved Garcia. “It’s wonderful to win an extra bonus.”

In addition to winning the bonus money, Garcia also discovered a new product through the SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.

“They are more comfortable than any other gloves with stretch panels, they are ‘grippy’, and they add a nice touch to my show attire,” said Garcia. “I tell everyone that even if they have another brand of gloves that they wear, try the SSG ‘Digitals’ and you will never go back. I love the SSG gloves; they are all that I wear now.”

A $2,000 bonus was also on offer in the $100,000 CSI2*-W Canaccord Genuity World Cup Grand Prix on Sunday, August 26. As winner Rich Fellers was not wearing SSG ‘Digitals’, the bonus money went unclaimed.

2012 marked the second year in a row that SSG Riding Gloves has offered $9,000 in bonus money through its ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion to riders competing at Thunderbird Show Park. In an incentive program designed to reward competitors for their loyalty to the SSG Riding Gloves brand, SSG offered a bonus of $1,000 in designated grand prix events and $500 in designated hunter events if the winning riders were wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves.
