SSG Riding Gloves Promotion Heads West to Sonoma Horse Park

The SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion will offer $12,000 in bonus money to competitors wearing SSG ‘Digital’ gloves during the 2012 competition season at Sonoma Horse Park.

May 13, 2012 – Petaluma, California SSG Riding Gloves is bringing its famous ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion to Sonoma Horse Park for the 2012 competition season.  Featured for the past two years at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, Sonoma Horse Park joins an elite list of competitions that will offer the innovative sponsorship program in 2012.

SSG Riding Gloves will offer a total of $12,000 in cash bonuses in designated show jumping events.  Starting with the HMI Equestrian Challenge, a $1,000 cash bonus will be awarded to the winning rider of each designated grand prix event if they are wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves with the SSG horsehead logo clearly visible.  If the winning rider is not wearing SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves in both the first round and the jump-off, the bonus money will be carried over to the next show until awarded.  The same format applies in the designated Junior/Amateur-Owner, Children’s Jumper and Children/Adult Amateur Classics where a $1,000 bonus will be on offer at each show.

“The concept of rewarding the riders with a cash bonus was something that I felt would be interesting for the sport of show jumping,” said Ed James, President of SSG Gloves, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of riding gloves.  “The ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotional bonus is contingent on the riders wearing our product, and we hope that those who participate will enjoy being rewarded for their loyalty.”

Bonus money won in the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion will be presented directly to the winning rider during the award presentations in front of the SSG Riding Gloves signature sponsor jump.

“While our business has been built on a foundation of public and media relations, this unique and innovative concept convinced us to extend into sponsor relations,” said Jennifer Ward, President of Starting Gate Communications which manages the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.  “To date, the SSG bonus money has been warmly welcomed by the competitors, and the promotion adds a new and exciting dynamic to the sport.  We are looking forward to expanding the promotion to California.”
