March 25, 2012 – Wellington, FL For the second time this season, Meagan Nusz rode away a winner in the SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion after winning the $15,000 SJHOF High Amateur-Owner Classic.

Nusz of The Woodlands, Texas, had claimed a $1,000 bonus after winning the $15,000 SJHOF High Amateur-Owner Classic while wearing SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves during week seven of the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL.  During week 11, history repeated itself with Nusz pocketing an additional $1,000.

Last to go in a seven-horse jump-off, Nusz guided Vesuvius home in a time of 35.05 seconds to take the win over Adrienne Sternlicht, also wearing SSG ‘Digitals’, who had stopped the clock in 38.78 seconds.  In addition to her share of the prize money, Nusz picked up another $1,000 bonus from SSG Riding Gloves.

“I love it, and it is a great way to try a new product,” said Nusz, 24, of the SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.  “As riders, we sometimes get stuck in the habit of using the same things, and this gives us an incentive to try a new product.  I have four pairs of the ‘Digital’ gloves now and I wear them all the time, rain or shine.”

As for how she planned to spend the bonus money, Nusz laughed, “I am going to pay horse show bills!  My parents have been so supportive, and it makes me feel like I am contributing.”

The SSG Riding Gloves ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion offers a bonus of $3,000 each week to the winner of the WEF Challenge Cup Series.  In the weekly Junior Jumper High Classic and Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic, a bonus of $1,000 is offered.  Any bonus money not awarded is carried forward to the next week.

SSG ‘Digital’ Riding Gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at Running Fox, Beval Saddlery, Hadfield’s Saddlery, Ann K Hubbard’s Tack Shop and Jods.
