January 22, 2012 – Wellington, FL Katie Dinan and Brittni Raflowitz both scored $2,000 bonuses from SSG Riding Gloves as part of the SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.  In total, SSG Riding Gloves awarded $10,000 in bonus money during week two of the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida.

In the $15,000 High Amateur-Owner Classic held Saturday, January 21, all eight riders that qualified for the jump-off were wearing SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves, ensuring that the $2,000 bonus would be awarded.  After Dinan scorched around designer Luc Musette’s course in 33.45 seconds riding Sandro, none who followed were able to catch her time.  In addition to taking home her share of the prize money, Dinan also picked up a $2,000 cash bonus from SSG Riding Gloves.

“My mom bought the gloves for me this morning,” explained Dinan, 18, of Wellington, FL.  “I had worn SSG gloves in the past, but this is the first time I have worn the ‘Digitals.’  Not only are they comfortable, they are also lucky!  They’re keepers!”

Brittni Raflowitz of Palm City, FL, also got lucky with her new SSG ‘Digitals.’  Only the second rider on course in Sunday morning’s $10,000 High Junior Jumper Classic, Raflowitz posted what would be the only clear round in the 19-horse competition.  She took the win with Flipper d’Or, an eight-year-old chestnut mare that she has been riding for one year, without having to jump-off.

“I think it’s awesome,” said Raflowitz, 16, of the SSG ‘Go Clean for the Green’ promotion.

Her father, Brett Raflowitz of Equestrian Services International, provider of ESI international competition footing to the Winter Equestrian Festival, added, “I think it’s a great marketing idea!”

Earlier in the week, Nick Skelton was awarded a $6,000 bonus for winning the $32,000 WEF Challenge Cup Round II while wearing SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves.

In the second year of its sponsorship promotion, SSG Riding Gloves offers a $3,000 bonus each week of the WEF Challenge Cup Series.  For the weekly Junior Jumper High Classic and the weekly Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic, a bonus of $1,000 is offered.  In the event that the bonus money is not awarded, it is carried forward to the next week.  To claim the bonus, riders must wear SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves in the first round of competition and any subsequent jump-off.

SSG ‘Digital’ riding gloves are available for purchase at numerous Wellington locations, including Tackeria, as well as on-site at the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival show grounds at Running Fox, Beval Saddlery, Hadfield’s Saddlery, Ann K Hubbard’s Tack Shop and Jods.
