September 21, 2007 – Halton Hills, Ontario – Maharajah D'Armanville enjoyed his first win of the season in the Canadian Young Horse Jumper Development Series during the CSI-W Canadian Country Classic II held from August 29 to September 2 in Halton Hills, ON.

A total of 15 entries tackled the track set for the Seven and Eight-Year-Old Division by course designer Danny Foster with nine advancing to the jump-off. Six were again able to post clear rounds, but none were faster than Maharajah D'Armanville who stopped the clock in an impressive 44.98 seconds. Piloted by Keean White of Cambridge, ON, and owned by Salima Witt, Maharajah D'Armanville is a bay selle francais gelding by Adelfos that was bred in Normandy, France.

A rider who hails from Normandy, Yann Candele, guided Split Decision to second place in the Seven and Eight-Year-Old standings with a jump-off time of 47.35 seconds. Imported in December of 2004 from Holland by owner Susan Grange, Split Decision is a chestnut Dutch Warmblood gelding by Calido out of a Continue dam. Candele began riding Split Decision during the Winter Equestrian Festival in Florida this past winter.

Diplomat took home the third place ribbon for breeding powerhouse KingRidge Stables after clocking in at 48.38 seconds. Ridden by Hugh Graham, Diplomat is an imported Oldenburg gelding by Helikon out of a Lauriston dam.

There may have been 13 contenders in the Six-Year-Old Division, but it was Chris Sorensen's lucky day. Riding Sacramento Vant Paradis S for owner Whitney Linders, the 25-year-old from Caledon East, ON, topped a five-horse jump-off with the fastest clear round. The Belgian-bred Sacramento Vant Paradis S features the well-known Nabab de Reve as its grandsire.

Hugh Graham took second place, this time with a product from KingRidge's own breeding program. Fifth Estate 3E is a Canadian Sport Horse gelding by Class action out of the grand prix mare Alley Cat by Emilion. Miranda Travers-Cavill rode her own Ventura to third place. The bay Hannoverian gelding is by Land Classic and out of Picolini.

The KingRidge name once again emerged in the Five-Year-Old Division, this time as the proud owner and breeder of the top two entries, Grand Slam 3E and Grand Finale 3E. Both horses are registered Canadian Sport Horses and both were ridden by Roberto Teran.

The winner, Grand Slam 3E, is a gelding by Teran's current grand prix mount, the selle francais stallion Jamestown, and out of Celeste by the Holsteiner sire, Challenger. The mare Grande Finale 3E is also by Jamestown, but her dam is Black Diamond by Chin Chin.

The third-placed entry of Vancouver was ridden by Yann Candele for owner Susan Grange of Lothlorien Farm in Cheltenham, ON. A registered Dutch Warmblood, Vancouver is by the well-known Dutch sire, Indoctro, and out of Happylina by Uniek.

The results in the Four-Year-Old Division represented the oncoming strength of Canadian breeding with the top eight finishers all produced in Canada. Style judge Alan Chesler awarded his highest mark of the day to Relevant K, and the Canadian Sport Horse also jumped a clear round to give him the winning score of 94. Bred by Karen and Sal DiCaro, Relevant K is owned by Danielle Vauaroutsos and was ridden to victory by Jennifer Ramsey. Relevant K was the runner-up in last year's Governor General's Cup at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, a title his sire, Popeye K, had claimed in 2000.

With a total score of 93, Riga took second place under Carly Campbell Cooper for owner Sherri Hunt-Serazia. A Hannoverian mare bred by Mill Creek Stables of Cambridge, ON, Riga is by the well-known Hannoverian sire, Raphael, out of Chanel by Carte D'Or.

Once again, KingRidge Stables was amongst the top three, this time with the entry of Head's Up 3E. In her first year of competition under Roberto Teran, Head's Up is by Jamestown out of Shooting Star 3E by Dutch Warmblood stallion, Class Action.
