June 13, 2006 – East Dorset, Vermont – Nutraceutical International Corporation has announced its sponsorship of the Amateur-Owner Division of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Series at the 2006 Vermont Summer Festival held July 12 to August 13, 2006, in East Dorset, VT.

During the first three weeks of the five-week long competition, the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Series will be split into two divisions, one for juniors and one for amateur-owners, each with their own purse of $10,000 in prize money. This generous offer of 'double prize money' is compliments of the Nutraceutical International Corporation. For the final two weeks of the Vermont Summer Festival, the junior and amateur-owner competitors will compete together in one class.

"We are thankful to Nutraceutical for recognizing and rewarding the hard work and determination of the amateur-owner competitors who are often overshadowed by the professional athletes," noted John D. Ammerman, Manager of the Vermont Summer Festival. "Through Nutraceutical's generous sponsorship, we hope that many new names in the sport of show jumping will benefit from having a turn in the spotlight."

Held each Sunday prior to the Grand Prix event, the Show Jumping Hall of Fame classes offer competitors an opportunity to earn valuable points towards qualifying for the Year-End Championship scheduled for November 29 to December 3 at the National Horse Show in Wellington, FL. Comprised of more than 70 horse shows across the country, the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series is designed to give junior and amateur-owner riders the opportunity to compete at higher levels. The 2006 Vermont Summer Festival closes with the grand finale, the $50,000 Vermont Summer Celebration Grand Prix on Sunday, August 13.
