November 18, 2005 – Uxbridge, Ontario – A clinic with current Olympic Eventing Champion, Leslie Law of Great Britain, will be held on Thursday, December 8, at Greenbrier Farm, a 160-acre eventing training facility in Uxbridge, ON.

Long considered one of Britain’s most talented eventing riders, Law claimed the Individual Gold Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games riding Shear l’Eau and led the British to Team Silver. In September, Greenbrier Farm presented a clinic with Law held at Dreamcrest Farm that met with rave reviews, and Law now returns due to popular demand. Limited space and stabling is still available for participants, and auditors are welcome.

“Leslie is an exceptionally gifted coach,” believes Nicole Shinton, a long listed member of the Canadian Eventing Team who traveled to England several times this year to work with Law. “He simplifies issues and makes horses and riders feel good about what they are doing while, at the same time, promoting improved technical skills. With his extensive competitive background, Leslie understands what is required of both horse and rider at all levels and easily communicates what needs to be improved. It is rare to find an athlete of his caliber who is also an extremely gifted coach.”

Prior to Law’s visit, Greenbrier Farm will also host a clinic with two-time Olympic Team Gold Medallist Phillip Dutton of Australia on Sunday, November 27, and Monday, November 28. Limited space is still available for participants, and auditors are welcome for a fee of $20.

One of Canada’s premier eventing facilities, Greenbrier Farm is home to 2004 United States Eventing Association (USEA) Intermediate Adult Amateur Rider of the Year, Nicole Shinton. Shinton and her husband, Alan, operate Greenbrier Farm, which includes a 23-stall barn, indoor and outdoor riding arenas, and an intermediate level cross-country course with two water complexes.

Information on the clinic, including registration forms, can be found by visiting www.greenbrierfarm.net/schoolingtraining.htm. Further questions can be directed to nikkirs@hotmail.com.
