Ainsley Vince Tops Jump Canada Series for Third Consecutive Year

December 14, 2004 – Ottawa, Ontario – For the third consecutive year, Ainsley Vince of Milton, ON, and Catch 22 have won the Jump Canada Series.

Riding Catch 22, a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Trinity Farms, Vince, 28, accumulated 206.3 points in the national show jumping series throughout the 2004 competition season. Her victory in the $75,000 CN Grand Prix held at the International En Fete in Bromont, QC, netted her 48 points while a second vicotry in the $50,000 Collingwood Festival Grand Prix at the Collingwood Festival Horse Show earned her an additional 38 points. These results, combined with several other consistent placings throughout the season, helped Vince establish a commanding lead in the 2004 Jump Canada Series.

In addition to winning the Jump Canada Series for the third year in a row, Vince also finished runner-up this year with her newest mount, Uno, a nine-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by the KMA Group. The new partnership earned a total of 194.55 points in the Series, celebrating victory in the $40,000 Grand Prix at the Summer Festival Horse Show in Palgrave, ON, and a fourth place finish in the $60,000 Grand Prix du Quebec World Cup Qualifier at the CSI-W Classique Internationale de Blainville in Blainville, QC.

Vince was recognized for her achievement in a special ceremony held Friday, November 12, during the Royal Horse Show in Toronto, ON, where she was awarded the prestigious Jump Canada Trophy, generously donated by Barbara Anderson of Calgary, Alberta.

The Jump Canada Series has proven successful in providing a national show jumping circuit with high standards of competition across the country. The 2004 Jump Canada Series was comprised of 17 designated events throughout the season and the final standings were calculated using the rider’s top six results plus the final event of the Series, the $60,000 CN World Cup Grand Prix, held during the Royal Horse Show in Toronto, ON.
