Dressage Clinic at Oakcrest Farm
Features Christilot Boylen and Udo Lange

December 1, 2004 – Stouffville, Ontario – Christilot Boylen and Udo Lange will be presenting a dressage clinic on January 5 and 6, 2005, at Oakcrest Farms in Stouffville, ON.

Open to spectators for a cost of $40 per day or $75 for both days, those in attendance will have the opportunity to watch one of Canada’s most celebrated athletes and clinicians, Christilot Boylen, and her partner, well-known German trainer Udo Lange, work with some of Canada’s most exciting talents.

Participants in the sold-out clinic include Athens Olympian Belinda Trussell, 1995 Pan Am Bronze medallist Louise Miechowsky, John MacPherson, and Daphne Haagmans as well as young rider and junior participants. Penny Rowland, a member of the Canadian Eventing Team at the 2002 World Equestrian Games and 2003 Pan American Championships, will also be focusing on her dressage training under Boylen.

Named to seven Canadian Olympic Teams, Boylen continues to share her talent and knowledge with her fellow competitors. She now lives and trains in Gammertshof, Germany, with her partner, Lange, who is a five-time German Professional Rider Champion and, since 1997, has been the coach of the German Olympic Committee for Riding Sport (DOKR).

In addition to the clinic, Canada’s newest ‘O’ licensed FEI Dressage judge, Cara Whitham, will host a question and answer session with spectators at the end of each training session. There will also be a wine and cheese reception following the training clinic on Wednesday, January 5, which all spectators are welcome to attend. Cindy Bartle of Honsberger Physiotherapy will speak on the topic, ‘The Seat of the Rider – Optimal Biomechanics for Optimal Performance’.

Home to Belinda Trussell who has successfully represented Canada at the 2002 World Equestrian Games, 2003 European Open Championships, 2004 World Cup Final and the 2004 Olympic Games under the guidance of Boylen and Lange, Oakcrest is the premiere dressage training center in the Toronto area, boasting state-of-the-art facilities as well as one of the largest indoor arenas. In July, Oakcrest hosted the Training Camp for the 2004 Canadian Olympic Eventing Team.
